Getting a food product to market and keeping it there means clearing a wall of food safety regulation — CFIA, SFCR, FSMA, FSVP — that is complex, high-stakes, and unforgiving. Food and beverage manufacturers, importers, and exporters across Canada and the US have to navigate it or risk being shut out of retail entirely. AgriAssure turns that complexity into transparent, actionable compliance workflows businesses can actually follow. We’re early, we’re growing, and we’re building the demand engine that gets this into the hands of the companies who need it. You’d own that engine.

The Role
This is a high-ownership role for a strong marketer and relationship-builder ready to run their own show. You won’t be one cog in a big team — you’ll own growth end to end: strategy, execution, measurement, and iteration. Much of our traction so far has come through industry associations, food and beverage hubs, and the relationships around them, and this role leans heavily into that: you’ll be on calls and in meetings constantly — talking to prospects, partners, and customers, networking, and building the relationships that drive pipeline. Alongside that, you’ll run structured experiments across content, LinkedIn, webinars, and our self-serve trial funnel to find what converts, with clear monthly targets so you always know what success looks like. You’ll have one team member (BDR/admin) as leverage to delegate execution to. You’ll report to the General Manager. This is a 6-month contract starting September 1.

In Your First 30 Days
You hit the ground running: tracking stood up, the self-serve trial funnel driving signups,

and a repeatable content-to-trial motion live on LinkedIn. This is a move-fast role on a tight timeline — we need someone who can get experiments running in weeks, not quarters. If you love owning a number and turning ideas into a working funnel quickly, this is your role. If you want to specialize narrowly in one channel or ramp slowly, it probably isn’t.

What You’ll Own

Demand generation strategy and monthly KPI delivery against agreed targets (website traffic, self-serve trial signups, qualified pipeline)

Partnerships and relationships with industry associations, food and beverage hubs, and channel partners — building, nurturing, and converting them into pipeline

Experiments across LinkedIn (personal and company page), SEO content, email nurture, and free educational webinars to determine what actually converts

The self-serve trial funnel: driving signups, measuring trial-to-paid conversion, and iterating on messaging and positioning

Tracking and attribution setup (GA4, HubSpot) so every channel’s performance is measurable

Direction and development of one team member (BDR/admin), using them as leverage to move faster

Customer and prospect calls — trial support, qualification, and converting interest into paid engagements

Monthly performance read-outs: what’s working, what’s being cut,

and what’s next

What You Bring

3–5 years in B2B marketing, partnerships, or demand generation, including time at an early-stage company where you owned real outcomes

Strongly preferred: direct connections within food and beverage industry associations and hubs, or experience working and selling within this type of organization — this is heavily weighted

Comfort and skill in relationship-driven selling — you enjoy networking, talking to people, and turning conversations into partnerships and pipeline

A track record of hitting targets and comfort owning a number month to month

Hands-on execution across content, LinkedIn, email, and webinars — you can write, publish, analyze, and adjust yourself

Experience directing or delegating to a junior teammate, or clear readiness to step into it

Willingness and ability to handle customer-facing calls with confidence

Fluency with GA4, a CRM (HubSpot preferred), and marketing analytics

Self-direction — you do your best work with ownership, ambiguity, and lean resources

Nice to Have

Experience marketing a B2B SaaS or RegTech product

Familiarity with food and beverage, agriculture, or regulated industries

Based in or near Calgary for occasional in-person collaboration

The Details
Contract: 6-month contract, starting September 1

Compensation: $45.69 CAD/hour, 7.5 hours/day

Location: Hybrid (Calgary preferred); strong remote candidates considered

Success measures: Clear monthly KPI targets you’ll own from the start

Reports to: General Manager
