Join a dedicated team as a Child and Family Therapist at the Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health, specializing in outreach and intervention. This full-time position focuses on serving children and families directly in their communities.
The successful candidate will provide therapy through the Community Outreach & Intervention Initiative (COII), collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure all clients receive appropriate care. You'll work in a multi-disciplinary team offering individualized assessments and treatments tailored to the needs of each family. This role also includes using virtual services when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage children and families with tailored interventions
• Offer case management and follow-up services
• Conduct Single Session therapy and brief interventions
• Document client interactions and service plans
• Liaise with internal and external service providers
Requirements:
• Post-graduate Degree and three years’ related experience
• Membership in a qualified College
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Skills in behavioral interventions and therapy engagement
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings
Serve with a compassionate approach in enhancing mental health support for youth and their families.
