Company Description Health Garage Kelowna is a community-focused primary care clinic serving patients in Kelowna, BC and the surrounding area. The clinic is committed to accessible, continuous, and comprehensive family medicine for individuals and families across all stages of life. Health Garage Kelowna emphasizes collaborative care, evidence-based practice, and preventive medicine to improve overall community health. We have a gym in the practice, in which a CEP and trainers utilize to assist patients on getting started and sustaining movement throughout their lifetime. Collaborative with the PCN, we have a full time nurse and a clinical pharmacist that joins us once a week to assist with medication management and education.
The team values respectful, person-centered service and strives to create a welcoming environment for patients and staff. Clinicians are supported with organized workflows and opportunities to contribute to the development of clinic processes and services.
Role Description The Family Physician will provide full-scope primary care to a diverse patient population, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care visits. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-person assessments, making diagnoses, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating referrals to specialists and allied health professionals. The physician will manage urgent but non-emergent conditions,



support continuity of care, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. Collaboration with clinic staff and other clinicians to optimize patient flow, participate in case discussions, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives is expected. This is a full-time, on-site role located in West Kelowna, BC.
Qualifications
Demonstrated competence in Primary Care and Family Medicine across a broad range of patient ages and conditions.
Experience managing urgent presentations in an outpatient or Urgent Care setting.
Commitment to Community Health, including preventive care, health promotion, and management of chronic diseases.
Solid foundation in general Medicine, including evidence-based clinical decision-making and safe prescribing practices.
Independent practice eligibility and good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (or eligibility for licensure).
Certification in Family Medicine (e.g., CCFP or equivalent) or comparable training and experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Comfort with electronic medical records, e-prescribing, and standard clinical documentation workflows.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team-based, patient-centered clinic environment.
