About the Opportunity Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is seeking an Email Developer with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) expertise to join their Marketing team. This group is responsible for delivering client-facing communications across email, SMS, and digital channels, including promotional campaigns, service-related updates, and personalized marketing initiatives. This position will support a growing Private Wealth portfolio and offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale marketing automation programs that directly impact customer engagement and experience.
What You'll Be Doing As an Email Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, deployment, and optimization of email marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Key responsibilities include:
Build and deploy responsive email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Develop and maintain email templates, CloudPages, and Mobile Studio assets
Utilize AMPscript and dynamic content to create personalized customer experiences
Support marketing automation journeys through Journey Builder and Automation Studio
Collaborate with marketing, business, and technical teams to execute campaigns from concept through deployment
Translate creative assets and campaign requirements into fully functional emails that align with brand standards
Manage reusable template libraries and standardized content modules
Perform thorough QA testing and troubleshooting across major email clients and devices
Optimize campaigns for deliverability, accessibility, engagement, and performance
Support data integration requirements using Data Extensions and segmentation strategies
Execute multiple campaigns concurrently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Must-Have Qualifications 2+ years of hands‑on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) email development experience
Strong AMPscript experience for personalization and dynamic content




Advanced HTML/CSS development skills, including responsive email design and media queries
Experience with:
Email Studio
Content Builder
CloudPages
Mobile Studio
Journey Builder
Automation Studio
Data Extensions

Experience developing dynamic and segmented email campaigns
QA and testing experience using tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid
Strong troubleshooting skills across email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.)
Experience working within workflow/project management tools such as Workfront or Jira
Ability to independently manage campaign execution from development through deployment
Nice-to-Have Qualifications Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist and/or Developer)
Financial services or banking industry experience
Experience supporting cross‑channel marketing initiatives including SMS and mobile communications
Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization
