Shape Alberta’s transportation future as an Infrastructure Technologist. This full time role, based in Grande Prairie or Peace River, requires expertise in highway planning and development.
With the Government of Alberta, you’ll lead technical initiatives that influence safe and sustainable transportation infrastructure. Your role will be pivotal in managing development applications, collaborating with municipalities, and coordinating essential infrastructure studies. You will help ensure that projects align with long-term goals and policies, making a meaningful impact across Alberta’s communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review development applications for highway safety alignment
• Support infrastructure studies and Terms of Reference development
• Analyze geometric assessments and assist in project scoping
• Propose highway network improvements through safety reviews
• Prepare technical reports and municipal funding agreements
Requirements:
• Technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
• Four years of related experience in infrastructure planning
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Familiarity with highway design standards and guidelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and communication abilities
