About the Role
Reporting to the Team Lead, Interprofessional Teams, the Community Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the delivery of Community Respiratory Services within Northern Health. This includes the promotion of respiratory health, assessment, diagnostic testing, education, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with respiratory dysfunction. The successful candidate will formulate and document respiratory care plans and disease self-management strategies to support optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) credentialing exam.
Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
Two years' recent related experience in respiratory home care, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Current CPR certification.
Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
