Job Title: Software Developer - Senior
Location: Toronto, ON or Kingston, ON (Onsite - 5 days/week)
Duration: 170 Business Days with possible extension
Client: Public Sector
Pay Rate: CAD $80 -$95 per hour

Responsibilities Analyze business requirements and design scalable technical solutions and architecture.
Develop technical design documents, user guides, and system documentation.
Design, develop, integrate, and maintain enterprise applications.
Perform unit and integration testing and develop test cases.
Collaborate with QA teams on functional, performance, and security testing.
Conduct solution design and code walkthroughs and provide knowledge transfer to project teams.

Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development across multi-platform environments.
Solid expertise in Java/J2EE , REST APIs, SOAP/WSDL, JSON, XML, Web Services, Oracle, PL/SQL, and multi-tier architecture.
Hands-on experience with application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat), development tools (Eclipse, IntelliJ, VS Code),



and source control/deployment tools.
Extensive experience in full-stack application design, coding, system integration, debugging, optimization, and performance tuning.
Proven experience leading technical teams, conducting design/code reviews, and delivering enterprise-scale IT solutions.
Strong knowledge of system architecture, IT security, quality assurance, and software development best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in public sector environments and knowledge of government architecture standards, security, and privacy guidelines is an asset.

Must Have Expertise in large-scale enterprise systems analysis, design, development, and emerging technologies.
Strong experience with full-stack, multi-tier application development using Java/J2EE, REST, SOAP, JSON/XML, UI frameworks, and third-party integrations .
Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performing technical solutions while ensuring IT security and quality standards.
