We are looking for a Senior Server Infrastructure Specialist for one of our esteemed clients in Mississauga.
JOB TITLE - Specialist-Senior Server Infrastructure JOB TYPE - Full Time/ Contract You will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and management of cloud and on-premise server infrastructure solutions within the organization's Information Technology (IT) setting. They provide technical expertise and guidance in evaluating, selecting, and implementing server infrastructure solutions, ensuring the security, availability, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with design of server infrastructure solutions, including but not limited to Windows, Exchange, Linux, Azure, and/or other cloud technologies, to meet the organization's requirements for performance, scalability, security, and availability.
Leads the implementation and deployment of server infrastructure solutions, including configuration, provisioning, and automation of virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and other infrastructure components. Ensure compliance with best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
Monitors, analyzes, and optimizes the performance, utilization, and capacity of server infrastructure components.
Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance the performance and efficiency of the infrastructure.
Collaborates with security teams to ensure the server infrastructure is secure and compliant with organizational and industry standards. Implement security controls, encryption, and access controls to protect data and prevent unauthorized access.
Responsible for Capacity, Availability and/or Lifecycle planning of Server Infrastructure.
Provides Level 3 technical expertise and troubleshooting support for server infrastructure incidents and problems.
Investigate and diagnose issues, propose and implement solutions, and document resolutions.
Creates and maintains documentation, including As-Built documents, configuration guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles. Shares knowledge and provides knowledge transfer training to intermediate, and junior staff members to enhance their understanding of deployed server infrastructure technologies.

EXPERIENCE A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Windows & Exchange Servers, including high availability, disaster recovery, security, and automatic failover configurations.
A minimum of five (5) years of working experience with the Windows Servers and associated technologies:
a. Microsoft Windows Server 2022/2019 Datacenter and previous editions or Exchange Server 2019/2016 and previous editions
b. BitLocker Encryption at the OS level
c. Domain Controller (DC), Active Directory (AD), GPO, Kerberos, NTLM, Distributed File System (DFS),
d. Windows patching using SCCM or a similar tool
e. Windows OS deployment using SCCM or a similar tool
f. Automation of OS deployment using Resolve or other similar tools
g. Troubleshooting and monitoring of Windows, Exchange and Linux servers using SCOM or Solarwinds or a similar tool
A minimum of 2 years of working experience with the following systems, tools and/or technologies:
c. Azure Cloud technology and its respective services
d. VMWare vSphere Hypervisor
e. Networking, storage, and security concepts related to servers
g. Databases such as MSSQL or PostgreSQL
h. Application load balancers like F5 LTM/GTM and NGINX Plus
Experience in automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
Knowledge of different Storage types (like SAN, iSCSI, NFS, HCI, Object Storage) and working knowledge of using them in Datacenter and Cloud for Server infrastructure.
Experience in implementing and managing Backup and Recovery solutions for Microsoft Windows & Exchange Servers workloads.
Experience in migrating Microsoft Windows & Exchange Servers workloads to Azure Cloud.
Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Maintains a high level of technical knowledge of industry trends and products.
Provides guidance and oversight and mentors intermediate and junior staff for deploying and maintaining Windows, Exchange, and/or Linux infrastructure environments.
Experience in configuring and managing Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) will be an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Knowledge A University Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certification as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Administrator Expert MS 365, MS Azure or Hybrid Administration or equivalent.
