The City of Lethbridge is hiring a results-oriented educator for its Community Social Development Department on a non-permanent basis. You will collaborate with police and community agencies, leading efforts to reduce youth criminal involvement. Key responsibilities include curriculum development, stakeholder engagement, and trend analysis related to youth risk factors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify key stakeholders for preventive strategies
• Develop curriculum targeting youth mental health and substance use
• Create best practices for youth-serving organizations
• Promote Safer Communities initiatives in the community
• Research factors contributing to youth criminal behavior
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience in prevention programming
• First Aid certification required
• Solid knowledge of trauma-informed practices
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license
