Aviva Canada is seeking a motivated individual with 1–3 years of experience in the insurance field. In this early career role, you will support underwriting processes and develop technical expertise alongside experienced Intermediate and Senior Underwriters. You will focus on maintaining solid relationships with brokers, assessing risks, and contributing to the growth of our commercial insurance portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate new business and policy renewals with care
• Underwrite small commercial Property & Casualty accounts
• Analyze submissions and exposure information for pricing
• Respond promptly to broker inquiries and requests
• Collaborate with senior underwriters on complex risks
Requirements:
• 1–3 years in insurance, preferably in underwriting
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• CIP designation completed or in progress preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
