Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall management of the Grocery Department.
Achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margins, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support Sherwood Co-ops vision.
Achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery and identify areas for improvement.
Assist the Store Manager in preparation of the annual budget.
Ensure claims, invoices and all other paper work is done timely, accurately and meets policy and procedure.
Implement and enforce written performance expectations and standards.
Coach team members, providing day to day direction and guidance, including performance management, training and development.
Ensure safety and regulatory standards and procedures are implemented and maintained.
Plan and engage in self-development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of three years of retail management experience.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special skill of motivating employees to achieve solid results.
A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
Analytical and organized; committed to producing quality work.
