Position Overview Reporting to the Senior Manager, Exchange Supply Chain, this role is responsible for leading a team focused on resolving critical parts issues and minimizing production delays caused by parts availability. The Manager, Critical Parts Solutions and Escalations will lead a cross‑functional team that supports production in the Finning Exchange Program through priority triage, team-oriented problem‑solving, supplier escalation, and alternative sourcing solutions as required.

Job Description Lead and manage a cross-functional team of Buyers and Material Supply Coordinators to resolve critical parts issues and support production continuity Establish clear goals, responsibilities, and role expectations for each position within the team
Set customer communication standards, follow‑up expectations, and feedback loops to support timely and transparent issue resolution
Facilitate collaboration across service operations, parts operations, parts planning, CAT, OEM, and other key stakeholder groups

Develop and oversee a priority triage process to ensure urgent parts availability issues are assessed, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner
Escalate issues to suppliers and collaborate with them to identify practical, timely, and sustainable solutions Work with CAT and other suppliers to improve escalation processes and maintain a hypercare process for parts with poor or constrained availability

Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Technical Services, Warehouse Operations, and other business teams to prevent production bay delays and quoted rebuild delays related to parts availability




Establish systems, procedures, and review methodologies to proactively identify, monitor, and resolve constrained critical parts
Qualifications 7+ years supply chain or manufacturing experience with demonstrated ability to direct and motivate staff.
7+ years of experience working in a heavy equipment dealership, construction, mining, or similar industrial environment
Experience working within a global organization and operating in a large, complex, and changing business workplace
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to change and perform effectively under pressure
Ability to assess situations, determine importance, urgency, and risk, and make timely decisions in the best interests of the organization and customers
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to speak, listen, and write clearly and effectively using appropriate tools and techniques
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive timely resolution of issues
Experience working with suppliers, managing escalations, and influencing outcomes without direct authority




Strong understanding of Finning’s service and supply chain processes, including the political, process, and technology landscape required to deliver positive business outcomes
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and provide effective leadership across multiple business groups
Strong understanding of customer experience, customer expectations, and the impact of parts availability on production and rebuild commitments
Experience developing, executing, and governing strategic plans
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
Note This position is a Monday – Friday position based out of our OEM Remanufacturing location in Edmonton
