Project Manager, w Hat The Role Encompasses
Participate in new project sales meetings with potential clients with BD lead
Prepare, monitor and update construction schedules and job costs
Prepare, maintain, and update project files
Manage owner and consultant-initiated change notices and change orders
Request pricing from subcontractors for change notices and process subcontractor change orders
Receive, review and process shop drawings
Set up and attend site subcontractor coordination meetings and take minutes and distribute to all parties
Set up and attend Owner / Consultant meetings and take minutes and distribute to all parties
Assist the Project Estimator in preparing estimates when required
Review and approve subcontractor monthly progress draw
Prepare monthly progress claims and submit to the Owner for payment
Prepare monthly project forecasting
Ensure the Site Superintendent has all up to date project documents including drawings, specifications, subcontracts, schedules, and change orders
Work closely with Superintendent to ensure overall coordination of the project
Project Manager, w Ho You Are
4+ years previous Project Management experience working on diverse projects
University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program
Integrated Project Delivery Contract experience an asset
Excellent computer skills including experience using MS Office, Project, Scheduling and Project Management software
Experience in all forms of contracts and delivery
Sound knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects Strong technical, business, financial and legal acumen
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentations), including the ability to successfully translate technical information to non-technical individuals
Experience working with different project delivery methods
Exemplary leadership skills, including strong teambuilding capabilities
Excellent relationship building skills and ability problem solve
Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver's license
Ability to travel on average once a month to visit sites under construction
