IWK Health is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to contribute to its Pediatric Pain Management team. You will provide family-centered care for children and youth experiencing chronic pain, working alongside a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals. Your expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy and pain management interventions will be crucial in developing and evaluating treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments and treatment for pediatric pain
• Deliver group-based coping skills training to families
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in program development and evaluation
• Consult effectively with parents and healthcare providers
Requirements:
• Ph.D./PsyD in Clinical Psychology from accredited program
• Five years of clinical experience in child/adolescent psychology
• Eligible for Nova Scotia Board registration
• Experience with evidence-based pediatric pain methods
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
