Job Description The is seeking a team oriented Psychiatrist to provide a generalized psychiatry service in Weyburn, SK and area.
The position provides opportunity to work in broad areas of psychiatry ranging from children and adolescents to a senior population.
The psychiatrist will be part of the multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, social workers, and psychologists and addiction counselors.
The candidate will provide leadership for the team in a collegial manner and be ready to work with external bodies as required.
In addition to regular clinic, the psychiatrist will provide in-patient service, emergency coverage on a rotational basis and travel to satellite clinics to provide services at least once a week as well as support other sites as needed.
The position provides integrated mental health and addiction services including at a transitional house in Estevan for addiction, and day hospital in Weyburn.
