Enhance your coaching skills as a Paddle All Instructor, supporting adults with developmental disabilities in canoeing and kayaking. This part time role focuses on inclusivity, safety, and skill development.
Join as a part-time Paddle All Instructor, reporting to the Head Coach and Paddling Director, you’ll lead a supportive environment for adults with special needs. This role involves supervising summer camp staff, coordinating with volunteers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You'll also serve as the waterfront concierge, ensuring a welcoming ambiance and maintenance of the facilities on the Gatineau River.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure Paddle All programs align with Canadian Sport for Life guidelines
• Lead team participation in regattas at various levels
• Provide technical instruction for water sports
• Verify swimming abilities and enhance safety measures
• Assist with administrative tasks and waterfront procedures
Requirements:
• Bilingual in French and English
• Standard First-Aid and CPR/AED “C” certification
• NCCP Community Coach certification
• Pleasure Craft Operator’s Certification
• Explicit criminal record check
