Responsibilities
Perform complex actuarial analyses supporting pricing, reserving, and risk assessment
Develop and maintain actuarial models and projections
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and IT teams to provide strategic insights
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
Mentor junior team members and share best practices
Stay current with industry trends and emerging methodologies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
ACAS certification with active progress toward FCAS designation
5-7 years of progressive experience in property and casualty actuarial work
Proficiency in statistical and analytical programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, or VBA
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Ability to work in-office in Edmonton, with flexibility as needed for professional development initiatives
