Join the City of Kawartha Lakes as an Equipment Operator for Roads Operations (West A). This full time role focuses on road maintenance, winter operations, and efficient equipment handling.

As an Equipment Operator, you will report to the Public Works Supervisor and utilize various equipment, including snow plows and street sweepers. Your role will involve performing compliance operations, traffic control duties, and general maintenance while ensuring safety standards are met. This position requires availability for winter hours and travel within the city.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain city roads effectively and efficiently
• Operate winter equipment for snow and ice control
• Conduct road and sign maintenance activities




• Ensure traffic control infrastructure is properly installed
• Keep accurate logs and records for supervisor review

Requirements:
• Secondary school diploma required
• Minimum one year experience in municipal settings
• Valid Ontario Class “D” Driver’s Licence with “Z” endorsement
• First Aid/CPR Certification is an asset
• Ability to safely operate various municipal equipment
