Business Consultant to support improvements to trading workflows, operational processes, and data integration - Duration: 12 months (possibility to extend) Work Location: Downtown Toronto / Montreal - Hybrid Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. / 37.5/ week Line of Business: Office of the COO What does the LOB do: Manages trading workflows, investment processes, data integration, and supports business transformation initiatives across front, mid, and back-office systems.

The team is heavily involved in onboarding current instruments, coordinating cross-functional change, and modernizing technology infrastructure.

Job Description: This role serves as a critical extension of existing SMEs, providing handson leadership across change initiatives, daytoday operational troubleshooting, and futurestate design.

The role directly supports strategic transformation, succession planning, and longterm capacity building for the operating team.

This position aligns closely with the expectations of Investment Management Operational Excellence competency framework particularly in trading lifecycle expertise, process optimization, crossbank collaboration, and solution delivery excellence What Youll Be Doing Lead business analysis and solution design for a variety of initiatives that support improvements to trading workflows, operational processes, and data integrations.

Coordinate change activities across multiple teams, ensuring stakeholders are engaged at the right time and that new requests, enhancements, or issues progress smoothly through to completion.

Support the onboarding of new products,



processes, or system capabilities, helping ensure downstream teams and applications are prepared and aligned.

Serve as a central point of contact for daytoday operational inquiries, cross-functional questions, and upcoming initiatives that impact trading or investment operations.

Assess current processes and identify opportunities for optimization, simplification, or automation in alignment with broader operational excellence goals.

Collaborate with business, technology, operations, and external partners to ensure initiatives are wellcoordinated and delivered effectively.

Communicate impacts and updates clearly to stakeholders, helping manage expectations and ensure smooth transitions during change.

Contribute to longterm transformation efforts, supporting the evolution of systems, data flows, and team operating models.

Provide subject matter guidance by leveraging your understanding of investment operations and the trade lifecycle to help drive informed decisions.

Must Have Requirement: Experience in designing solutions across complex financial systems 5+ years Experience leading change request management, workflow optimization, and operational improvements 5+ years Ability to function as - BA + PM + QA + SME hybrid, depending on project needs Knowledge of institutional trade lifecycle processes and data integration patterns across front , middle , and back office environments.

Experience with Bloomberg trading systems 2+ years Strong understanding of operational dependencies across custody, reporting, accounting, investment controls, and risk.

Nice to Have: Think

Folio, Cashman, Eagle/SS&C;, OMGEO CTM, TMS, or comparable platform experience is an asset.

Knowledge of SS&C; ecosystem, Eagle, or similar data warehouse solutions.

Experience with process automation tools (e.g., VBA, Python, Alteryx).

Banking experience Exposure to regulatory change, institutional client onboarding, or operational excellence frameworks.
