Summary: Experience Level: Level 3 (senior): minimum 5 years Open positions: 1 Duration: 12 Months contract position Location: Montreal Work Mode: Day 1 onboarding onsite/in office presence 3x/week Responsibilities: Design and develop high-quality Java applications within a multi-tier, enterprise environment.

Ensure code aligns with architectural standards, integration patterns, and enterprise engineering guidelines.

Collaborate with global development teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful features.

Build proofs of concepts to evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and solution approaches.

Participate in design discussions, contributing to architectural decisions and long-term platform direction.

Investigate and resolve production issues with a focus on root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Support all phases of the SDLC, including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-release support.

Foster a culture of quality by applying best practices and contributing to team knowledge-sharing.

Requirements: Hands-on experience building enterprise-grade microservices using Java 11, including proficiency in RESTful API design and build tools such as Gradle or Maven.

Strong front-end development capability in React or Angular, with the ability to create user-friendly interfaces.





Expertise in relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or DB2) including data modeling and SQL proficiency.

Experience with Kubernetes and up-to-date microservices architectures in production environments.

Ability to develop solutions in Python and Unix shell scripting (e.g., Bash).

Experience writing high-quality unit tests with JUnit; familiarity with TDD or BDD methodologies is a plus.

Understanding of Git-based source control workflows and exposure to CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.

Comfortable working within Linux environments and leveraging command-line tools for development and debugging.

Grasp of Agile methodologies, including experience with Agile tools such as JIRA.

Ability to write clean, maintainable code that aligns with engineering best practices and enterprise standards.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.

Open to work occasional weekends.

Preferred Skills: Minimum BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
