Role Description / Key Responsibilities Provide structural design and CAD work in support of the development of 3D models and 2D drawings, including all construction details for concrete, steel and architectural projects executed within Cameco.
3D Modeling as required.
Ensure design work is done in accordance with Cameco's processes, procedures, standards, design criteria and regulatory requirements.
Preparing bill of materials (BOM) and materials takeoff (MTO).
Adherence to company and site-specific Health and Safety protocols.
Ensuring the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
Be responsible for planning, drafting, modelling, checking and the quality of the structural deliverables.
Working within a technical team and maintaining a positive relationship with teammates, Cameco operation (clients) and contractors.
Skills / Previous Experience Experience with structural design work.
Robust written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated, reliable, strong work ethic, natural enthusiasm.
Experience and/or familiarity of software (Advanced Steel, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Jetstream, AutoCAD).
Occasional travel to site by aircraft.
Experience providing design expertise in a mining projects environment.
Knowledge and/or familiarity of applicable codes (NBCC, NFCC, etc.) and standards.
Familiar with construction materials and activities.
