Position Summary: Analysis and critical evaluation of fundamental legal concepts such as law, rights, commands, social and moral rules, primary and secondary rules, sovereignty, international law, war, punishment, social justice, and property.
Students will engage with both classical and contemporary texts through close reading and analysis.
In addition, the course will incorporate critical perspectives from Critical Race Theory, Critical Legal Feminism, and Indigenous Legal traditions, providing a diverse understanding of legal frameworks.
