Job Description / Responsibilities 1.

Backend Development & Coding Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based microservices and APIs.

Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and design patterns.

Build and optimise RESTful APIs aligned with OpenAPI specifications.

Refactor legacyponents for improved performance and maintainability. 2.

System Design & Architecture Design scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems to support large-scale user traffic.

Participate in architecture discussions and propose backend solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Ensure code adheres to modular, reusable, and cloud-native design principles. 3.

Cloud & Containerisation Develop and deploy services on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Open

Shift.

Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and resiliency of backend systems. 4. CI/CD & Dev

Ops Contribution Integrate backend services into CI/CD pipelines using Git

Hub Actions.

Automate build, testing, and deployment processes.

Continuously improve deployment efficiency and reliability through automation. 5.

Testing & Quality Assurance Write and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and standards.

Ensure applications meet performance, security, andpliance requirements. 6.



AI-Assisted Development & Productivity Leverage AI tools such as Git

Hub Copilot or similar to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Use automation tools to enhance development velocity and reduce manual effort. 7.

Monitoring & Production Support Monitor application performance using tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.

Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability.

Participate in on-call rotation for critical application support. 8.

Collaboration & Agile Practices Work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews).

Translate functional requirements into technical backend solutions. 9.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain technical documentation for APIs, services, and workflows.

Share best practices and mentor junior engineers when required.
