Your New Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Vice President, Fund Accounting will oversee the delivery of fund accounting services for a portfolio of alternative investment clients, primarily within the hedge fund and private equity sectors.
This rolebines client relationship management, operational leadership, team development, and strategic business support.
Key responsibilities include: Overseeing the delivery and review of fund accounting services, including NAV calculations, financial reporting, capital activity, partner allocations, and other key deliverables.
Acting as the primary relationship lead for a portfolio of clients and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
Leading client service reviews, resolving escalated matters, and ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.
Managing, mentoring, and developing fund accounting professionals across multiple Canadian offices.
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and team growth initiatives.
Driving operational excellence, process improvements, and scalable service delivery practices.
Monitoring service levels, controls,
and key performance indicators across client portfolios.
Collaborating with internal teams to enhance operational effectiveness and client oues.
Acting as a senior leadership presence within the Toronto office and supporting local growth, culture, and employee engagement initiatives.
Contributing to strategic projects and supporting the continued expansion of the Canadian business.
What You''ll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess: 8+ years of progressive experience within fund administration, fund accounting, alternative investments, or public accounting.
Strong experience servicing hedge fund and/or private equity clients.
Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting or fund administration teams.
Experience at the Vice President, Director, Senior Manager level, or as a high-performing Fund Accounting Manager ready to step into a VP position. CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, ACCA, or equivalent skilled accounting designation preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of fund accounting, NAV production, financial reporting, and alternative investment structures.
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive results. A proactive and entrepreneurial approach with the ability to thrive within a growing organization.
