IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting for a Shipping Clerk on behalf of our client in Newmarket.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of office and warehouse responsibilities.
Approximately 50% of your day will be spent performing computer-based shipping and inventory tasks, while the remaining 50% will involve forklift operation and material handling.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and forklift operation.
Location: Newmarket, ON Shift: Day Shift (Monday
Friday) Pay: $21.00/hour Responsibilities Coordinate the daily inbound and outbound movement of materials and finished goods.
Prepare, package, label, and stage customer orders for shipment.
Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
Inspect incoming products and report any shortages or damages.
Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control.
Create and process shipping documentation and update shipment information.
Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation carriers.
Safely operate forklifts, Raymond Reach trucks, pallet jacks,
and other material handling equipment.
Load and unload trucks while following all safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Assist with additional warehouse and shipping duties as required.
Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics.
Valid Forklift Certification required.
Raymond Reach experience is considered a solid asset.
Strong computer skills with experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
