Position Description As our clients Registered Pharmacy Technician you will be joining a pharmacy operating within a busy medical building.
This role involves working collaboratively with a pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, while also supporting administrative and operational workflows.
This position will require you to work a full-time work schedule with operating hours of Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
Operational needs may require you to be flexible at times.
Process and check prescriptions accurately and efficiently Maintain patient records, including allergies and medical conditions Perform data entry and third-party adjudication Coordinate with pharmacist for clinical checks Manage inventory and ensure compliance with Health Canada regulations Handle patient transactions and general inquiries professionally Ensure compliance with all regulatory and operational standards This is a permanent position with opportunities to develop your skills long-term.
Experience 2 + years of experience working in a Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Assistant Experience working in any pharmacy setting an asset; community, hospital, clinical, etc.
Qualifications Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) license or in progress Robust customer service and communication skills Experience with pharmacy software (Kroll is an asset) Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions Standing for extended periods Fast-paced work environment Frequent interaction with patients and other healthcare professionals Education Pharmacy Technician diploma and PEBC certification (or in progress) Registered with OCP or Registration in process
