Join people Care as a Personal Support Worker, providing compassionate behavioral support through resident-centered care. Work alongside nursing professionals to enhance quality of life for elderly patients facing responsive challenges.
This role is essential for the Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) team, where you will implement individualized care strategies and support residents with responsive behaviors. Engage in continuous learning and teamwork, utilizing evidence-informed approaches to manage each unique situation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered support aligned with BSO principles
- Implement and monitor care plans under BSO RPN guidance
- Coach staff on behavior support strategies and interventions
- Document resident responses and behavior patterns diligently
- Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and evaluations
Requirements:
- Current Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate
- Experience with older adults with complex care needs preferred
- Knowledge of BSO and P.I.E.C.E.S. principles is an asset
- Solid communication and observation skills
- Flexibility to work all shifts as needed
