At FIREFLY, a non-profit Children’s Treatment Centre in Northwestern Ontario, you will engage in comprehensive assessments and interventions for young clients facing speech, language, and feeding challenges. Collaborate with other health professionals while offering crucial guidance to families for understanding and attaining therapy goals.
Your work will help ensure access to valuable community resources that promote the well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective treatment
- Provide caregiver support and education
- Oversee therapy plans for communication assistants
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Communication Disorders
- Membership with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists
- Competency in planning and facilitation
- Familiarity with Anishinaabe culture preferred
- Clear driver’s license and criminal record screening required
