Goodness Me! is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused, full-time Fresh Foods Department Manager (Meat & Dairy) for our Hamilton – Upper Gage storelocation.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible to lead and manage daily operations of the Fresh Foods Department, with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets.

Other duties and tasks may include:

Interviewing and onboarding new team members

Monitoring and evaluating team members performance including executing performance management conversations.

Assisting in rolling out new policies and ensuring that team members are compliant.

Motivating and inspiring team members and facilitating personal growth.

Ensuring high levels of productivity are maintained.

Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.

Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.

Assist with inventory management .

Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards.

What you bring:

1. 5 years of management experience.

Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc).

A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the department.

Driven and self-motivated with a solid work ethic.

Availability for daytime shifts, with some evenings/weekends.
