This role gives you the chance to work directly with individuals in both adult and youth criminal courts. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client interviews for legal assessments
- Deliver effective legal representation in court
- Negotiate with Crown counsel on clients' behalf
- Maintain thorough records for service eligibility
- Regular travel to circuit courts as required
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor from a recognized institution
- Positive standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- Minimum 5 years in practice of criminal law
- Understanding of court procedures and laws
- Valid driver’s license for travel to courts
