The Pharmacy Manager works as a member of the organization team, collaborating in the patient-centric approach supporting the distribution and provision of complex drug therapies.
The Pharmacy Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success and sustainability of their pharmacy location as an integral component of the overall organization.
With a solutions-based, strategic mindset, the Pharmacy Manager is accountable for financial performance, business growth, operational efficiency, and compliance while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
As a business leader and community ambassador, the Pharmacy Manager proactively identifies and acts on growth opportunities, operational improvements, and patient-focused innovations to enhance the company''s brand and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Provide strategic leadership to the pharmacy team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and professional growth.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance clinical expertise, customer service, and operational excellence.
Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring accountability for quality and outcomes.
Actively foster a solutions-oriented, collaborative culture, encouraging proactive problem-solving.
Serve as the primary liaison between pharmacy staff and regional/national leadership, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Oversee onboarding, training, and continuous education for pharmacy staff.
Actively mentor and support career growth opportunities for team members.
Ensure the team remains adaptable and informed on new protocols, procedures, and industry trends.
Financial & Business Performance Own and manage the pharmacys financial results, ensuring financial targets, cost controls, and revenue growth are achieved.
Analyze, interpret, and respond to operational data to identify opportunities where actual results do not achieve targets.
Develop and execute action plans to optimize results, drive profitability,
and ensure business sustainability.
Foster organic business growth while strategizing and implementing new initiatives to drive new business opportunities.
Represent the pharmacy as a business leader and ambassador, strengthening relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and stakeholders.
Strategic Business Management & Operational Excellence Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, service quality, and compliance.
Lead the implementation of new business initiatives and operational enhancements that increase productivity and service quality.
Identify inefficiencies and proactively implement improvements to streamline operations.
Collaborate with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to drive standardization, compliance, and best practices.
Compliance & Risk Management Ensure strict adherence to provincial regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Maintain a culture of compliance and safety, ensuring all pharmacy operations meet regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and oversee adherence to adverse event reporting and quality assurance protocols.
Business Development & Relationship Building Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities to enhance the companys market position.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with prescribers, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders in the specialty product space.
Engage in community outreach, representing the pharmacy as the face of the business and strengthening local market presence.
Build and maintain a trusted brand reputation, ensuring the pharmacy is recognized as a leader in patient care and service excellence.
Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve processes, products, or services, leveraging data, insights, and collaboration to create value and support business growth.
Leadership Responsibilities: Provides explicit direction, sets measurable goals, and holds team members accountable for performance and results.
Coaches, develops, and supports team members through regular feedback, performance reviews, and career development planning.
Fosters a high-performing, inclusive team culture that aligns with company values and business objectives.
Additional Responsibilities: Promote a safe and efficient work environment, upholding the highest standards of quality, patient care, and service.
Responsible to report any patient safety information as per adverse event reporting requirements and product quality complaints reporting requirements; and other duties as required.
Key Qualifications Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body. 5-7 years Progressive experience in pharmacy management, ideally within a multi-location or regional structure.
Experience in Specialty Pharmacy is an asset.
Proven track record in financial management, business growth, and driving profitability.
Strong leadership abilities with a solutions-based, proactive, and accountability-driven mindset.
Excellent relationship-building, delegation, and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability analyze, interpret, and respond financial, operational, and clinical data optimize performance Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, business-building acumen, and a results-oriented approach.
Strong problem-solving, time management, and adaptability skills in a fast-paced environment.
Technological proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word, with the ability utilize digital tools for business insights English proficiency is required for this position effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Bilingualism (French and English) may be required depending on the specific role, location, and the needs of the organization
