Oxford Learning East Vancouver iscurrently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for roles in our learning centre.

If you love working with students, enjoy teaching language skills, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you.

Position Overview: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French and/or with

High Schoolstudents inmath (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English.

Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre-planned.

You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best teaching! Position Requirements Availability Monday-Friday during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm) and Saturdays Commitmentthrough tothe end of the 2025/26 school year (June 30th), with thepossibility ofcontinuing through the summer This role is in-person.

You must be able to commute to this location.

This is not an online position.

Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Bachelors degree or similar certification in a relevant field University students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered Teaching certification/Early Childhood Educator certificate is considered an asset Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 BC curriculum Ability to teach multiple subjects is an asset Experience: At least one yearteaching/tutoring experience at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students'' understanding The ability to teach French is also highly desired Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Responsibilities: As an Interactive Coach, you will: Teach up to 3 students at a timeat different levels Teaching online and in-person Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports Prepare for each lesson by reviewing teaching materials and lesson plans in advance Review and familiarize yourself with the students profile, learning goals, strengths, and areas for improvement before each session Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning setting) Smiles, High-Fives & Happy Students: In this role, you will help students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
