QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience Graduation from a recognized nursing program with public health content.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Minimum of five (5) years recent, related experience in Public Health Nursing, including 1 year of education and/or leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Valid BC Driver''s License.
Skills And Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of the current theories, technologies and practices in Population Public Health programs and/or specific program areas within Population Public Health.
Demonstrated working knowledge of relational and reflective practice.
Fosters a culturally protected and trauma informed approach.
Applies comprehensive knowledge and skill in educational theory and practice including competency and curriculum development.
Applies superior written communication abilities and proficient computer skills in the design and composition of creative, high quality, interactive learning materials.
Uses research, technology and related best practices and an understanding of health care disciplines and networking abilities to support and enhance public health practices.
Demonstrates use of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Power
Point, Word, Outlook, Teams.
Ability to organize workload and set priorities.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to plan, organize and evaluate client care within Population Public Health Programs.
Fosters creativity and innovation in strategic education planning and in the development of knowledge translation through teaching and learning strategies, applying adult learning principles.
