Title: Hashi Terraform SME
Location: Markham, ON/Remote
Duration: 6 - 12 Months

We are seeking an experienced professional to support an upcoming enterprise infrastructure automation initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform implementation, and cloud automation practices. This is a fully remote contract opportunity for a technical specialist who can help design, implement, and optimize Terraform-based solutions to support scalable, secure, and repeatable infrastructure deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong hands-on experience with HashiCorp Terraform.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Strong understanding of Terraform modules, providers, state management, and infrastructure provisioning workflows.
- Experience working with one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud.
- Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD tooling.
- Strong scripting experience with technologies such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

- HashiCorp Terraform certification.
- Experience with additional HashiCorp technologies such as Vault, Consul, or Nomad.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.




- Experience with Git-based workflows and source control management.
- Previous experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
- Background in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using HashiCorp Terraform.
- Build and manage Terraform modules, configurations, and reusable infrastructure components.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code best practices across enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, security, and application teams to deliver automation solutions.
- Integrate Terraform workflows into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
- Perform Terraform code reviews and recommend improvements for scalability and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot Terraform deployments, state management, and automation issues.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
