Job Title: After School Counselor

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Aftercare Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and guidance to children ages 4-14. As an Aftercare Counselor, you will play a crucial role in assessing children's needs, developing plans and promoting safe play.

Duties:
- Developed weekly activity curriculum, including instruction of sports and creative activities

- Maintained excellent working relationships with participants and parents

- Adapted programming to the needs and interests of the groups

- Communicate instructions and commands using clear, simple language

- Demonstrate an activity by breaking the task down into a sequence

- Assessed strengths/weaknesses in participants’ performance, identified areas for further development

- Communicate with Parents when needed

Skills:




- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with children & Parents
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with children
