Digital & Animation Tutor – Job Description

Location: Markham, Ontario

We offer high-quality art and music classes for children, teens, and adults. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Visual Arts Instructors to join our dynamic team. If you have a love for teaching and a robust background in various art, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities:

- Teach digital art and animation classes to children and teens (ages 10-15)
- Introduce students to digital drawing fundamentals, character design, and animation basics
- Guide students through creative projects in a supportive and engaging environment
- Prepare lesson plans and class materials needed
- Maintain a positive, organized, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Provide feedback to students and communicate progress with parents after the class

Education & Experience:

- Experience in digital art, illustration, and animation
- Procreate or other digital and animation app
- (Optional) Canva / Clip Studio Paint / After Effects
- Experience teaching children is preferred
- Patient, responsible,



and enthusiastic about working with kids
- Strong communication skills

Skills & Attributes:

- Passionate about working with children and fostering creativity.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create engaging and structured lesson plans.
- Background in art education, animation, or illustration
- Experience in character design, comics, or storytelling
- Basic knowledge of traditional art fundamentals

Hourly Rate: $20 – $28 per hour (depending on experience).

Class Size: Maximum 6 students

Flexible schedule (Weekday evenings, weekends)

Job Types: Part-time

Expected hours: Minimum 1.5 hour per week

Work location: Markham, ON L3R 9Z4
