Job Summary
We are looking for Home Sharing Providers to provide care for people with disabilities. In a home sharing arrangement, an adult with a disability lives in a person’s home and receives support and services based on their personal goals and needs. Experienced in supporting adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities required.

What is Home Sharing:
In a home sharing arrangement, an adult with a disability lives in a person’s home and receives support and services based on their personal goals and needs.
Ideal Home Sharing Provider:
- Experienced in supporting adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities
- Able to maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive home environment
- Able to provide patient, respectful, and person-centered support
- Robust communication skills with families, agencies, and support teams
- Able to learn, adapt, and seek guidance when needed
- Able to provide consistent and dependable support that builds trust and stability
Requirements:
- Minimum of 19 years of age
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Satisfactory home study
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- First aid / CPR certificate
- Driver's License
- Satisfactory health confirmed by doctor
Payment:
Home Sharing Providers will receive $1,886.13 to 5,856.13 non-taxable monthly payment. The amount depends on the individual’s level of disability support needs. Home Sharing Providers receive their total compensation via payments from Community Living BC (CLBC) and individual contributions. For details:

Support Needs:
The level of disability can vary. Home Sharing Providers have the right to choose a match that fits their home, lifestyle, and ability to provide the right support. Here are some examples of different levels of disability and potential requirements to meet their needs:
Mild Disability:
- Independent with most daily activities.
- May require occasional assistance with tasks such as budgeting, transportation, or meal planning.
- Generally does not require assistance with personal care, lifting, or bathing.
Moderate Disability:
- May need assistance with some daily activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, or household chores.
- May require occasional help with personal care tasks, such as bathing or dressing.
- Lifting or transfers may be needed for individuals with limited mobility.
Complex Support Needs
- Requires significant support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- May have mobility challenges and require assistance with transfers, lifting, or repositioning.
- May have specific medical needs or require specialized equipment.
