Job Description The newly revitalized Hospitalist service at the Lloydminster Hospital, known as the Connected Inpatient Care (CIC) Team is seeking more Hospitalists to join our team! The Family Physician Hospitalist will provide those Physician Services related specifically to the practice of CIC Services in accordance with their training and SHA privileges.
The Physician will act as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for patients admitted to the identified CIC.
The typical patient to physician ration will be up to 24:1, understanding that there may be variation based on admission and discharge timing and patient complexity and acuity. CIC Services is a physician coverage model whereby the Physician provides service in the capacity of the Most Responsible Physician for patients admitted into the service.
Job Qualifications The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
Valid Divers License.

As a high volume and high acuity service, the experience gained has been previously described as a third year of training.
