Additional Information: Northland School Division is seeking to fill the position of Temporary Full Time Head Cook for the Gift Lake School Lunch Program.

The school serving Kindergarten through Grade 10 is located in the Gift Lake Mtis Settlement, one of only eight legislated Mtis land bases with Mtis governments established in Northern Alberta, Canada, and protected by legislation.

It is situated along Highway 750, about 84 kilometres northeast of High Prairie.

This position is 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, and will report to the school principal.

Key Responsibilities A service-oriented attitude and a passion for working with school aged children Preparation of lunches according to the menu Serving lunches Maintaining a clean and protected environment in the commercial kitchen Placing and receiving grocery orders and inventory control Completing all required paperwork in a timely manner Adhering to cleaning/sanitizing protocols as determined by the Operations Manager and the school division Qualifications Previous cooking experience A recognized Food Safety Course is considered an asset The salary for this position is based on qualifications and experience.
