WSP is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work across the full project lifecycle, delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective designs for commercial, residential, retail, and institutional building projects. The role involves mentoring junior staff and building strong client relationships.Responsibilities
Lead mechanical building design projects from concept through constructionApply skilled engineering judgement to ensure technical excellence, constructability, and cost effectivenessDesign and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and fuel systems for complex building projectsEnsure designs comply with National, Provincial, and Municipal codes and standardsResearch and implement innovative and sustainable mechanical design solutions aligned with client objectivesManage select projects including budgets, schedules, and milestone deliverablesCollaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams through meetings, proposals, and business development effortsMentor and peer‑review the work of junior engineers and designers to support team growth and quality outcomesQualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalentProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario10+ years of experience in a mechanical consulting engineering environmentStrong working knowledge of Canadian building codes and standardsProficiency with AutoCAD, Carrier HAP or Trane TRACE,



and Microsoft OfficeExperience using MEP Revit is highly desirableLEED accreditation and sustainable design experience are considered strong assetsPMP designation or willingness to pursue is an assetAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearanceBenefits

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $104,100 – $138,000MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800Atlantic Provinces & QC: $88,500 – $124,900Health and Safety
