The Vancouver office is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. Projects executed in various sectors and consist of large EPCM and small operations support projects. We work in a multi-discipline engineering environment where every individual is empowered with the prospect to make a difference.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers and CAD personnel in the successful execution of electrical engineering and design for mining/mineral processing within budget and on scheduleProvides technical leadership and guidance for the electrical teamMentor engineers-in-training and designersPrepare and check calculations as requiredPrepare electrical equipment specification packagesCheck vendor drawings and data for compliance with specificationsPrepares detailed design, supply, construction and installation specificationsDevelop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposalsEnsures effective communication within project teams and with client engineersTrack project metricsReport to Area Project Engineering Manager for project issues and to the overall Electrical Lead for functional issuesVisit project sites and other Hatch design offices for project related activities as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:
Engineer with 7+ years of relevant experience – preferably in an EPCM environment for industrial projectsEngineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Canadian Professional Engineering AssociationGood oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standardsProficient with the following electrical design tools and software: SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and ASPENDemonstrated ability to work effectively within multi disciplinary teamsAdvanced computer skillsBase salary range: $96,000 - $145,000Why join Hatch?
