Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Cutter/Clerk to join our team. This role involves preparing and handling high-quality meat products while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced food retail setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong attention to safety standards, and experience in the food industry. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in butchery and food handling while contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat products according to company standards and customer preferences
- Ensure all meat is handled safely, following proper food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Package meat products accurately for display or sale, maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, including equipment and workstations
- Assist customers with selections,



answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Restock displays and ensure proper labeling of all meat products
- Follow all safety guidelines related to food handling, equipment operation, and workplace safety
- Unloading trucks and verifying invoices

Experience

- Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or butchery, is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food safety regulations is a plus but not required
- Experience with packaging and product presentation is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food handling procedures will be advantageous for success in this role

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
