- Selecting, measuring and marking materials for exterior doors and windows, foundations, floors, walls and roofs
- Cutting and shaping materials and joining them with nails, screws, bolts or glue
- Read blueprints or architectural schematics and construct the building’s framework according to the plans
- Repair old woodwork on building frames
Skills Required
- Ability to read and follow blueprint plans
- Measuring and planning
- Proficient use of hand tools, saws and other power tools
- Ability to lift/carry heavy pieces of material or structures
- Working from heights certificate
- Must have own vehicle
Job Type: Full time
Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour
Experience:
- Framing carpentry: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Working at Heights Certificate (required)
