Position Overview:
We are seeking a permanent Operator Driver to join our North Central Department at Jenpeg, Manitoba.
Responsibilities:
- Participate actively and positively in the development of the Utility team and contribute to achieving the team's goals.
- Required to be certified and able to operate the following equipment: Loader with various attachments, Skidster with various
attachments, riding lawnmower, floor washer, different lifts.
- Responsible for pre-operative checks, lubricating assigned equipment and attachments, and minor maintenance.
- Operate/maintain straightforward power tools, hand tools and equipment.
- Perform utility or labourer duties and may be required to assist a Tradesperson, as required.
- As required, will assist in the duties of a Utility worker or Labourer.
- May be required to work from scaffolds, bucket trucks, in confined areas and outdoors in all climatic conditions.
- May be required to work at other locations within North Central Department.
- Required to direct and train junior personnel.
- Assist with rough carpentry, fence erection and building erection.
- Assist in plant cleanliness, painting, grass cutting, landscaping, maintenance of roads and grounds, and snow removal.
- Ensure that duties performed comply with Corporate and regulatory environmental requirements including ISO 14001
standards.
- Report any incidents or situations that may be harmful to the environment or in violation of corporate or regulatory
requirements.
- Assist in and/or direct other staff in the unloading/loading of equipment and material.
- Perform rigging requiring knowledge of slings, cables, sheaves, etc., in accordance with established safety rules and
regulations.
- May be required to direct and train junior personnel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 10 education plus equipment certification.
- Possess a Manitoba Hydro Equipment Operator's Permit appropriate to the equipment to be operated.
- Must have necessary experience to operate equipment assigned to the classification.
- Capable of working with minimum supervision.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the equipment in its use and service requirements.
- Familiar with and adhere to the Manitoba Hydro Corporate safety manual and other approved practices, procedures and
standards.
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
- Have the ability to work harmoniously and cooperate with fellow employees.

- Possess and maintain a valid Province of Manitoba Driver's License Class 3 with air brake endorsement.
- Possess a current certificate in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS.
Notes/Comments:
- The successful applicant will be required to work at other North Central Stations as required.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $27.53-$37.04 Hourly,
$52,744.38-$70,968.04 Annually.
