We are looking for an experienced cook to join our fast paced kitchen team.

The job duties are as follows:

- Prepare, plan and cook complete meals, such as sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and ensure meal presentation is to the highest quality
- Supervise cleaning standards and food
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and general cooking skills
- Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Successful candidates must have the following credentials:

- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a line cook
- Post-secondary education in the field is not required but is an asset
- Be able to communicate in English




- Should be willing to take on leadership roles
- Flexible hours between day & night shifts
- Have an inner sense of urgency
- Have a willingness to learn
- Proper use of kitchen tools and equipment and lock out procedures
- Knife skills and common cuts
- Basic understanding of culinary terminology
- Be able to work with pre-set spreadsheets
- Ability and willing to complete Food Protected Level I
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
