DRIVER TRAINER

Dandy Oil Products is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Driver Trainer to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for training, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating commercial drivers wile ensuring company standards, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices are consistently followed. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive instruction on the safe loading, transportation, and offloading of petroleum products, lubricants (bulk and packaged), and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), ensuring drivers are competent in all aspects of product handling, delivery operations, and customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

- Train, mentor, and evaluate new and existing drivers.
- Deliver hands on and classroom instruction on company procedures and safe work practices.
- Conduct competency assessments and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
- Train both day and night shift drivers as operational requirements dictate.
- Assist with driver onboarding, orientation, and refresher training.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.
- Support Operations and HSE initiatives as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS





- Valid Class 1 Alberta Driver's License with a clean CDA.
- Current Suncor Terminal Badge
- Knowledge and operating experience with Fuel Trucks, Super B's, OSR, Bulk Lubricant and DEF delivery equipment.
- Strong understanding of TDG, Hours of Service, NSC requirements, and secure petroleum handling practices.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting drivers across multiple shifts.
