We are a growing, asset-based trucking company serving Western Canada’s manufacturing sector. Our fleet specializes in Flatbed Curtainside B-trains and Tridems, delivering raw materials and finished goods with a high-touch, service-driven approach. Role Overview

This is a progressive operations role designed to develop into full dispatch responsibility. You will own execution, support drivers, and ensure customer commitments are met in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 6-month contract position with the opportunity for full time employment to be determined upon completion of the contract.

Work Environment & Expectations

- Full-time, Monday to Friday, in-office (SE Calgary)
- Fast-paced, time-sensitive operations environment
- Continuous communication with drivers and customers
- Real-time problem solving and decision-making required
- Errors directly impact service, revenue, and customer relationships

Phase 1: Core Responsibilities

Objective: Build operational accuracy and system discipline

- Order entry and validation
- Customer portal updates
- POD and confirmation management
- Order auditing (invoice readiness)
- Daily and weekly KPI reporting

Phase 2: Dispatch & Operations

Objective: Own execution and improve asset utilization

- Communicate load details, appointments, and site requirements
- Trip planning and load assignments
- Coordinate and direct drivers to safely execute schedules
- Monitor shipments and adjust schedules in real time




- Maximize fleet utilization and efficiency

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

- On-time pickup and delivery performance
- Order and load accuracy
- Driver utilization and productivity
- Customer response time and issue resolution

- Communicates proactively with drivers and customers
- Makes sound decisions under pressure
- Contributes to improved fleet utilization and service performance

This Role Is Not For Someone Who

- Struggles to make decisions in real time

Core Competencies

- Understanding of Canadian Hours of Service regulations
- High attention to detail and strong decision-making
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Customer-first mindset

Assets (Nice to Have)

- Trucking or transportation experience
- Class 1 license
- TransPlus Fleet Manager experience
- ISAAC telematics experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience, with growth aligned to performance, responsibility, and measurable operational results.
