Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IAM (Identity & Access Management) Consultant to join our cybersecurity team. In this pivotal role, you will lead efforts to design, implement, and optimize identity and access management solutions that safeguard organizational assets across diverse environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless user authentication, authorization, and security protocols, supporting our commitment to robust cybersecurity practices. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IAM strategies aligned with organizational security policies and compliance standards such as ISO 27000 and PCI.
- Configure and manage identity repositories including LDAP, Active Directory, and cloud-based directories like Azure AD and AWS Cognito.
- Design and deploy secure authentication mechanisms utilizing protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and PKI infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions into cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure, ensuring scalable and resilient architecture.
- Conduct vulnerability research related to identity systems, perform incident response activities for security breaches involving IAM components, and support disaster recovery planning.
- Monitor network security using SIEM tools like Splunk; analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and network monitoring tools to identify suspicious activities.
- Maintain system security by applying encryption standards, managing load balancing configurations,
and implementing best practices for UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems.
- Support system administration tasks including system updates, scripting with PowerShell or Shell Scripting for automation, and managing cloud infrastructure via DevOps pipelines.
Skills
- Extensive experience with Java programming for developing secure authentication modules or integrations.
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server environments, UNIX/Linux operating systems including macOS.
- Proficiency in incident response procedures related to cybersecurity threats involving identity management systems.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, IPsec, VPNs, WAN/LAN configurations.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms like Splunk for real-time security monitoring and analysis.
- Familiarity with network security tools including firewalls (e.g., Juniper), IDS/IPS systems, network monitoring solutions.
- Expertise in cybersecurity principles covering encryption techniques, PKI management, vulnerability research, and system security best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud computing architectures (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and cloud security frameworks.
- Ability to script using Python or Shell Scripting for automation of tasks within SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) environments utilizing DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of compliance standards such as ISO 27000 series and COBIT frameworks for IT governance.
