Job Summary

Namdhari Punjabi Spice Restaurant is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Cook to join our team. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, maintains high standards of cleanliness, and works well in a team.

The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining food safety standards in our 100% vegetarian restaurant. The candidate should also be comfortable handling online delivery orders (Uber Eats, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes, etc.) as well as walk-in and takeout orders.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food according to restaurant recipes and standards.

Wash, peel, chop, cut, and portion ingredients.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.

Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.

Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties.

Handle food safely and follow food safety and sanitation standards.

Receive,



organize, and store deliveries.

Understand and process both online delivery orders and in-store/takeout orders accurately.

Monitor inventory and report low stock or damaged items.

Work efficiently with team members in a quick-paced environment.

Follow instructions from supervisors and management.

Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous kitchen helper, prep cook, line cook, or restaurant experience.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies when required.

Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to work in a 100% vegetarian restaurant.

Looking for long-term employment.

Experience handling online food delivery platforms is an asset.
