Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25/hour to start, with performance-based increases at 6 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40–60 hours/week, with occasional Saturdays as needed
Location: Outdoor/yard-based role — no office work

About the Role

Farmer Pete's Ag Ltd is a small but growing salvage yard specializing in agricultural and construction equipment parts, shipping both locally and internationally. We're looking for a hands-on Yard Supervisor/Foreman to lead our yard operations — someone comfortable managing a crew, operating heavy equipment, dismantling machinery, and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. We're a close-knit team that values strong teamwork, and we're looking for someone who thrives working alongside others to get the job done and help us grow.

Responsibilities

- Manage and lead the yard crew
- Operate heavy-duty equipment and machinery (zoom boom/telehandler, forklift, skid steer, tractors, combines, etc.)
- Fulfill customer part orders — pulling parts yourself or assigning crew as needed
- Dismantle equipment
- Load sea cans/containers for shipping
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments
- Coordinate LTL/FTL freight shipments, both local and international




- Support customer service initiatives by ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery while managing expectations professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized shop and yard at all times
- Keep the yard side of the business running efficiently

Requirements

- Experience in a salvage yard, scrap yard, or with heavy equipment is an asset
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round, in all weather
- Able to lift heavy parts/equipment and handle physical labor throughout the day
- Valid driver's license
- Strong leadership skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills, with patience and clarity when working across a diverse, multilingual team and customer base
- Team-oriented mindset — willing to pitch in, support the crew, and help the company grow together
- Willing to put in extra effort when needed (e.g., staying late for an incoming shipment or customer)
- A hard worker who adapts and gets things done
